Lot 40, Vintage Gabbeh rug woven by Qashqai tribe’s women,  measuring 127×77 cm, reflects the rich nomadic traditions of the Qashqai nomads from the Fars region. The design is inspired by the interior view of a pigeon tower, a unique architectural feature common in the area which many of them still exists in the region for the purpose of gathering their fertiliser for farming and their eggs to eat. The rug’s geometric shapes and bold colour blocks—featuring shades of red, cream, green, and black—capture the essence of minimalist tribal art. Handwoven with handspun wool, this Gabbeh exudes a rustic charm, with its thick pile making it both comfortable and durable.

Size: 127x77cm
Estimate: $500-$700

Certificate of authenticity & valuation for this rug will be sent to the buyer after purchase.
