Lot 08, Inspired by a 17th-century Bijar design, this rug was expertly woven in a master weaver’s workshop in Mazar-e-Sharif, Afghanistan. Its soft green-ivory field features an intricate array of stylized leaves, flowers, and branches in red, green, and beige-gold, creating a nature-inspired tapestry. Stylized leaves and flowers add life and movement to the design. A contrasting vegetable dye Madder-red border, adorned with repeating floral motifs in blue, ivory, and gold, beautifully frames the lighter centre. Reflecting Persian craftsmanship, this rug’s classic tree-of-life motif and balanced colour palette make it a timeless, elegant addition to any large space.

Size: 535x388cm
Estimate: $7,000-$8,000
