Hand-knotted prayer design rug, woven by Turkaman women in Mazar-i-Sharif, Afghanistan. Inspired by a 16th-century Oushak rug displayed at the Pergamon Museum in Berlin, this piece was custom-made and modified in size for use as a floor covering. Crafted with a handspun wool pile and natural vegetable dyes, it is a rare and highly durable creation. Circa 2018, Afghanistan.
