Lot 27 is inspired by the timeless elegance of 19th-century Khotan designs, this carpet was hand-knotted in 2015 to cater to the refined taste of Australian interior designers. Custom-made with a harmonious colour palette, it features a luxurious handspun wool pile, dyed using natural vegetable colours. This beautiful piece was meticulously crafted by skilled Turkaman women who have settled in Peshawar, Pakistan, bringing together traditional craftsmanship with modern aesthetic sensibilities.
