Description

Lot 25: Hand-knotted Chobrang Ziegler

Crafted with inspiration from the timeless 19th-century Sultanabad-Ziegler designs, this Peshawar Chob-rang carpet is a true fusion of tradition and modern elegance. Hand-knotted in 2016, it was custom-made to suit contemporary Australian interior aesthetics. Featuring a luxurious handspun wool pile and coloured using natural vegetable dyes, this piece was woven by skilled Turkaman women who have settled in Peshawar, Pakistan.
