Lot 24: Superfine Kashmir Full Silk Carpet

This exquisite pure silk carpet draws inspiration from the iconic 16th-century Sheikh-Safi Carpet, housed in the Victoria and Albert Museum, London. Meticulously hand-knotted using Persian knots in an exceptional 24/24 quality (equivalent to 1 million knots per square metre), it boasts a remarkable total of 10,346,000 knots. The result of over two years of dedicated craftsmanship by a team of four skilled weavers, this piece is a testament to the rich weaving heritage of Srinagar, Kashmir.
