Description
Handwoven mid-20th-century Azerbaijan opened-Khorjeen or Tacheh, woven by Shahsavan nomadic women using the Soumak weaving technique. Originally a small double-sided saddle-bag, this khorjeen was recently opened and modified to join the opened bags together, creating a unique small runner. This piece features distinctive nomadic craftsmanship, which is both rare and highly collectable.
